Simplified Environmental Solutions (SES) Adds Depackaging and Composting Services with New Equipment, Partnership
Simplified Environmental Solutions and BlueBird Composting utilize new Tiger Depack unit to service food and beverage, retail and pet nutrition industries
Simplified Environmental Solutions (SES), an innovator in true zero waste to landfill material processing and management, has announced its new organic depackaging and composting services through a strategic partnership with BlueBird Composting in Fulton, Mo. Investing in its new Tiger Depack depackaging system for the composting facility expands SES’ capabilities to serve the food and beverage, retail and pet nutrition industries — with the advantage of diverting packaged organic materials from landfills and reducing compost contamination.
“We are pleased to offer this new depackaging and composting service in partnership with BlueBird Composting. Food waste makes up approximately 24% of the landfill volume in the U.S., so taking further steps to minimize that is exciting,” said Dave Nelson, VP of Sales for SES. “Also, by offering this service, we can help our customers on the important path of meeting their sustainability goals.”
SES chose to add its new Tiger Depack HS640 to the BlueBird Compositing facility due to its efficiency and the high rate of the recovered content at nearly 100%. It offers the ability to quickly separate solid and liquid organic materials, like food waste, from their packaging — processing up to 20 tons per hour. The Tiger Depack operates by way of a patented three-process, all-in-one system that includes vertical centrifuge separation technology. This technology separates different densities, making it ideal for processing heterogeneous materials. The unit has been engineered to reduce operating costs, allowing SES to also provide cost effective processing to its customers.
The new depackaging and composting services will support sustainability efforts in the Fulton, Mo. region, as well as nationwide.
